Reiki is a Japanese hands-on healing modality that uses Universal Life Force Energy. It is a form of healing energy that comes from the universe. While its use in its current form comes from the modern age, Reiki energy is as old as the universe itself.
Reiki’s healing energy can be sent to people, places, objects, animals, and situations across distances of space and time. Reiki transcends time and space; therefore, it can be done anywhere and sent to anyone at any point in time. It can be sent to your ancestors to help heal a family lineage of disease. It can be sent long distance to someone across the world. It can be performed on all living matter and space. The energy itself is pure and has omniscient wisdom.
The word Reiki is derived from two Japanese words - rei and ki. Rei means "higher/spiritual power" and Ki means "energy". Together, Reiki is translated as "Universal Life Force Energy."
A multitude of Reiki forms exist today. Examples include Karuna Reiki, Angelic Reiki, and Holy Fire Reiki which are all offshoots of the original Usui Reiki. There is only one Reiki energy and these are simply different methods employed to harness the same energy.
